Beginning August 7, 2026
SkillMarket will use a new secure sign-in process powered by Microsoft.
You are not creating a new SkillMarket profile. You are updating how you securely sign in to your existing account.
Your profile, assignments, skills, experience, and project history will remain unchanged.
During the update, you will temporarily move to Microsoft’s secure sign-in pages to create or select the credentials you will use to access SkillMarket going forward.
Before You Begin
- Have access to an email account you can use for your secure sign-in
- If possible, you can use the same email address associated with your existing SkillMarket profile.
- Allow pop-ups and redirects for SkillMarket in your browser before starting the account update process.
- Plan for approximately 3–5 minutes to complete the one-time update.
Update Your Existing SkillMarket Account
- Go to SkillMarket.
- In the Existing Users section, enter the email address associated with your SkillMarket account and select Continue.
- Enter your current SkillMarket password and select Continue.
- Select Create Secure Sign-In to begin the one-time update.
- Choose one of the four options for how you want to sign in securely:
- Email and password
- Apple
- Follow the instructions on the Microsoft secure sign-in page.
- If you choose email and password, Microsoft will send an 8-digit verification code to your email address.
- Complete any remaining information requested by Microsoft, such as your name or password.
- Follow any remaining prompts to complete the one-time account update.
- Return to SkillMarket and confirm that your existing profile is still there.

Important!
This one-time process connects your existing SkillMarket profile to the new secure sign-in. It does not create a second SkillMarket profile.
If your existing profile does not appear, do not create another profile. Submit a support ticket so the existing account can be reviewed.
After the Update
Continue using the same SkillMarket website and bookmark.
Enter your secure sign-in email address and continue using the secure sign-in method you selected during your one-time update.
If you selected Google, Apple, or LinkedIn, continue using that provider. If you selected 'email and password,' your password will now be managed through Microsoft rather than through SkillMarket.
Optional CLEAR Verification
After signing in, you will see an option to complete CLEAR Verification.
CLEAR Verification is optional and free to the consultant. You may choose to complete this optional step. Some client engagements may prefer or require consultants who are CLEAR Verified.
Note: SkillMarket CLEAR Verification is not a CLEAR+ airport membership for travel and security screening at airports.

Having Trouble?
If you receive an unexpected sign-in error or the Secure Sign-In update doesn't complete successfully, try the following before submitting a support ticket:
- Sign out of all open SkillMarket windows.
- Close all browser windows.
- Open a new Private or Incognito browser window.
- Type www.skillmarket.com directly into your browser's address bar.
- Start the Secure Sign-In update again from the Existing Users section.
If the issue continues:
- Try a different supported browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari).
- Clear your browser's cache and cookies, then restart your browser before trying again.
- If you're using a mobile device, completely close and reopen your browser (or the SkillMarket page) before trying again.
Submit a support ticket if:
- You continue to receive a red technical error message (such as "Missing Token" or "Invalid Login") even after you've tried the steps listed above.
- You cannot access the email receiving your verification code.
- Your existing profile does not appear after completing the update.
- You accidentally created a new profile instead of linking your existing account.
- You remain unable to complete the Secure Sign-In update after trying the steps above.
