How do I submit my weekly status update?
Weekly status updates are submitted using Microsoft Teams → Updates. Project-specific instructions, including the due date and time, will be shared during onboarding or by your project leadership.

Where do I find my Microsoft Teams Updates request?
You can access Updates in any of the following ways:
  • Click the link shared by your project leadership in Teams
  • Open Teams → Activity (bell) and select the “Update requested” notification
  • Go to Teams → Apps → Updates → Received and select the appropriate project update

What should I do if I have issues accessing or submitting a Teams Update?
First, confirm you are signed into Microsoft Teams using your Optimum (OHIT) account.
If issues persist, email helpdesk@optimumhit.com for technical assistance.
You should also notify your project leadership if submission is blocked.

Where do I enter my per diem?
Per diem is entered in Concur as part of your weekly expense report. Per diem does not require receipts but must be entered correctly by date.

Per diem rates vary by project and client. Please refer to your project travel policy or onboarding documentation for the applicable per diem amount.

What is the difference between a Principal Trainer (PT), Credentialed Trainer (CT), and End User Trainer (EUT)?
Principal Trainers (PTs) provide overall training leadership and oversight. Depending on the engagement, PTs may lead instruction, mentor trainers, coordinate training operations, and serve as a key liaison between Optimum, the client, and Epic.
Credentialed Trainers (CTs) are Epic-credentialed and are responsible for delivering or supporting Epic training using approved curricula. CTs reinforce standardized workflows, support learner understanding, and escalate issues appropriately rather than operating outside of scope.
End User Trainers (EUTs) support the classroom environment by assisting learners with navigation, logistics, and flow. EUTs do not teach content, interpret workflows, or make training or build decisions.
In summary:
PTs lead and oversee training efforts.
CTs teach or support instruction.
EUTs support the learning environment.

Please email helpdesk@optimumhit.com for assistance with Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook and Teams. They can also assist with password resets for your Optimum email account.  You can also call them:  904-834-2387.

Orientation invites will be sent to your OHIT email address prior to your project start date. Please check both your Outlook inbox and calendar.

What if I cannot stay for the full duration of a project?
You may request an early taper by emailing glinfo@optimumhit.com. All requests must be reviewed and approved prior to the project. You will be notified once a decision is made.

Where can I find my work schedule?
Your schedule will be shared via the project’s designated scheduling or communication tool. If you have not received schedule details, contact your project leadership team.

How do I request a self-taper once a project has started?
If you need to leave a project early, notify your project leadership immediately. For emergent situations, documentation may be required. Leaving a project without notification may result in suspension of your SkillMarket account.

What should I do if I miss my flight or experience a travel delay?
Notify project leadership and logistics@optimumhit.com as soon as possible with your updated flight information and arrival time.

Can I stay at a different hotel, Airbnb, or private residence?
Lodging must comply with Optimum travel policy and any client requirements. Alternate lodging arrangements must be approved in advance by logistics@optimumhit.com.

What should I wear onsite?
Professional, client-appropriate attire is expected. Business casual with closed-toe shoes is a safe standard unless otherwise specified by the client.

Will I receive an Optimum badge?
Yes. As part of PT and CT onboarding, Optimum photo badges will be ordered and shipped to the client site for onsite distribution.
