How should I notify Optimum if I would like a specific shift or assignment?
Shifts and assignments are not guaranteed and are assigned based on the needs of the client. You may request a shift (day/night) or assignment by emailing glinfo@optimumhit.com and it can be noted.

You may request an early taper by emailing glinfo@optimumhit.com. All requests MUST be reviewed and approved PRIOR to the project. Requests will be considered, and you will be notified once a decision is made.

Orientation invites will be sent to your OHIT email address at some point prior to your travel day. Please check both your Outlook inbox and calendar to ensure you’ve received the invite.

Apply in SkillMarket and you will receive an offer if you are selected. Do not email individuals within Optimum.

How do I request a self-taper?
If you wish to leave a project early, you should notify your zone lead via Connecteams. If your exit is based on an emergent matter, please provide documentation to your management team. Leaving the project unannounced will result in the suspension of your SkillMarket Account.

You should notify the logistics@optimumhit.com team as soon as possible to update your new arrival time and flight info.

What if the hours in the schedule are not accurate?
Notify your zone lead through ConnecTeams if you feel the hours of operation are not accurate for your site. Once validated, your schedule will be updated to reflect the accurate hours of operation.

My hotel check-out date doesn’t match the project end date. Is this an error?
No. Hotel check-out dates are initially assigned based on contracted taper projections. Check-out dates are reviewed and updated weekly as the taper plan is finalized.

What if I miss the shuttle?
Missed shuttles are considered personal responsibility. Alternate transportation costs are not reimbursable.

Can I use Uber or Lyft instead of the shuttle?
No. If a shuttle or approved transportation is provided, rideshare expenses will not be reimbursed. Prior approval is required and given based on specific circumstances.
